When you tune into Rachel Thexton Connects, your host will welcome guests from the media and digital leader space in which she works — vital conduits of information, leading experts on timely topics such as mental health, substance use, ADHD, and education, and diverse Canadians who can teach and share perspectives we may not have considered. Welcoming Indigenous guests, from various Nations, to share vital knowledge, via the RTC mic, is important to Rachel.
Under-represented voices, and those Rachel disagrees with, are also critical conversations. Building bridges, and finding common ground, is a journey we will take together.

Rachel is a Vancouver-based public relations veteran and the voice of Rachel Thexton Connects. Through the podcast she connects traditional news and social media — welcoming journalists, hereditary chiefs, ministers, physicians and digital leaders for conversations on the topics that matter most to Canadians.
Her writing and commentary appear regularly in The Vancouver Sun, Business in Vancouver, Daily Hive and beyond.
Rachel has worked in public relations for over two decades but, she is also a passionate, empathetic, and stubborn human who cares deeply about various issues and feels that conversations and connections are vital in addressing some of our biggest divides and challenges as a society.
Rachel has three children, aged 11, 7, and 4. She is married to a man who would eat rice daily, if he could, and is a tech wizard who produces the podcast and co-manages all elements behind the scenes. Rachel loves vinyls, writing, reading, travel, and animals. She enjoys proving to others that one person can change the world — even in a small way — when they lead with empathy. Rachel loves weeping willow trees, Spanish moss as it hugs Florida streets, and seeing her children laugh.
Angel Araujo is the Co-Founder, Producer, and Digital Director for Rachel Thexton Connects. Angel is meticulous with technical detail on the sound and visual element of storytelling as he continues to master his skills in videography, drone video production, podcast production and editing.
Angel prioritizes family, loves history, and has a video training certificate from BCIT. In his spare time, you can find Angel watching and analyzing baseball, having been born and raised in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic — a city several of Major League Baseball's greatest players call home, often learning their first skills barefoot on local streets with broomsticks and water bottlecaps. Angel is now proud to call Canada home, having received his citizenship in 2023.
Every good studio needs a morale department. Greyson keeps recording days grounded, reminds the team to take breaks, and holds firm opinions about snack scheduling.
